What is One Dollar for Change?
One Dollar for Change is a nonprofit focused on providing fast, direct financial relief to individuals and families facing financial hardship. We help cover urgent needs like rent, utilities, food, and car repairs.

Who can apply for assistance?
We serve families, individuals, and small businesses in Yuma, AZ, who are struggling with essential expenses but don’t qualify for traditional aid. Assistance is given based on available funds and financial need.

How does the 501(c)(3) process work?
We have filed for nonprofit incorporation in Arizona and will be applying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. This process takes a few months, but once approved, all donations will be fully tax-deductible from the date of application. We will update supporters as we progress!

Where do donations go?
The majority of donations go directly to helping people with urgent expenses. A small portion (15% or less) covers basic operating costs like website maintenance and nonprofit fees. We never give cash—all payments go directly to service providers.
